Stefan Corriveau
President and Owner

Born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, Stefan had one goal in life: It was to become a professional pilot. He started his flying career in 1993 at the age of 19 and graduated from Algonquin Flight Centre one year later. He was immediately hired as an instructor at Algonquin Flight Centre. |

Stefan moved on to multiple flying positions ranging from flying scheduled and charter operations in Canada's high arctic, to air ambulance services throughout northern Ontario. He was subsequently hired by Air Canada Jazz (formerly Air Nova) where he still works as an Instructor Pilot on the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ).
Stefan holds a Canadian Airline Transport Licence and continues to maintain his civilian Instructor Rating. Even though Stefan's career as a professional airline pilot brings him immense satisfaction, his true passion is still flight instruction. |

Kori Ibey

Kori graduated from Canadore College in 1985 from the Aircraft Maintenance program. Kori then joined the Canadian Armed Forces and was posted to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. One of the highlights in Kori's military career was being a member of the Canadian military aerobatics team “ The Snowbirds”. After serving a 15 year term he retired from the military and moved back home to Ontario. |

After moving back home, Kori was hired by Bombardier Aerospace in North Bay, assembling the CL-415 Water Bombers. While he was working at Bombardier, he started his own Aircraft Maintenance Organization known as Maximum North Aviation.
Owning his own company has been a dream since he joined the military. Kori enjoys working on small privately owned, commercial, and corporate aircraft. As a pilot, he also enjoys flying the planes as much as he enjoys maintaining them.
When the opportunity arose, he became involved in purchasing Algonquin Flight Centre. Kori is also a graduate of Algonquin Flight Centre and holds a Private Pilot Licence with a Seaplane Rating. |

Greg Lathangue
Chief Flight Instructor

Greg has dreamed of flying from a very young age. His dream became a reality when he joined the Royal Canadian Air Cadets (RCAC) in 1994 and was introduced to glider flight. He attained his Glider Pilot’s Licence in 1999 and his Private Pilot’s Licence in 2000, both through the RCAC. |

In 2001, Greg moved to Sault Ste. Marie to enrol in the Aviation Technology – Flight Program offered by Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology. Upon graduation from the program in 2004, he moved to North Bay to complete his Instructor Rating with Algonquin Flight Centre. Greg has been instructing at AFC since 2005.
Over the course of the summer in 2007, aviation legend Ron McDonald, AFC's current Chief Flight Instructor at the time, worked very closely with Greg to help him prepare for his upcoming position as the new Chief Flight Instructor for Algonquin.
In November of 2007, Greg officially took over the position of CFI. Greg currently holds a Canadian Commercial Pilots Licence, Class 2 Instructor Rating, Group 1 Instrument Rating and a Seaplane endorsement. He is also a Transport Canada Authorized Person and an Industry Canada Delegated Examiner.

Ron McDonald
Program Developer

Ron served over 38 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Air Force Reserves. He has completed several operational tours in the CF-100 and CF-101 in Canada and NATO. Early in his career, he was selected for instructor training which soon became his primary pursuit. |

Ron has acquired all the civilian pilot licences and ratings available in Canada and currently holds a Canadian Airline Transport Licence. He is also a Transport Canada approved Pilot Examiner.
Ron developed Algonquin Flight Centre's flight training programs based on the Royal Canadian Air Force/Canadian Armed Force's syllabus, which has been approved by Transport Canada. This program is one of the best civilian flight training programs in Canada. |
