The Recreational Pilot Permit (RPP) is the least expensive pilot permit and is ideal for people who are only interested in limited recreational flying. If you only want to experience the exhilaration and freedom of flight, but have no desire to pursue a career in aviation, the Recreational Pilot Permit is the route for you to follow.

There are a few limitations that apply to the RPP: You may only carry one passenger regardless of the number of seats, you may only fly in Canada, and you may not add additional ratings such as Night or Instrument ratings to this permit.

Due to the varying amounts of individual training required by different students, it is difficult to provide an accurate cost for our program. Individual learning abilities, course completion times, and even weather has an effect on the final cost. Our Estimated Cost represents an average student and is a good indicator for budgeting purposes.
