Center

The commercial aviation industry began in the 1920's when just a few thousand passengers would travel between a handful of cities each year. Today, nearly two billion people travel between thousands of cities all over the world. The complex aircraft systems in today's modern sophisticated aircraft demands judgment, skill, education, and most importantly, experience in order to maintain these challenging and rigorous schedules.

To become an airline pilot is to become a part of a proud and demanding profession. Airline pilots are responsible for the lives of every passenger they take under their wings every time they take to the skies. With responsibility like that, you want to make sure you know what you are doing.

In order to produce a highly skilled and qualified pilot, Algonquin Flight Centre, in association with the North Bay Aviation College, developed the Professional Pilot Package (PPP) which is specifically designed to give you the skills and experience required to succeed in today's aviation industry.

What makes this program unique? The answer is simple. This is the first program offered in Canada that combines ALL of the requisite flight training required for employment. Therefore, our PPP program has an intensive training schedule. Applicants must have a strong ambition for a pilot career and are prepared for diligent study and the effort required for accomplishing their objective over the 12 month period.

This program is an intensive One Year, Full-Time Attendance Program. Most college-affiliated pilot training programs offer 2 semesters per year and take 2 to 3 years to complete. Our intensive one year program is completed in 9 consecutive phases, which means that our graduates are able to enter the job market 1 or 2 years ahead of their competitors. It also means that our students save money on accommodations, travel and tuition costs.
